Advanced agent profiles are not the normal preset surface for workspaces. Use Workspace Runtime Presets to manage workspace skills and MCP resource access.
Advanced agent profiles are host-local Codex process profiles. They exist for administrators who need to maintain baseline execution behaviour for Codex on a registered host.

What Profiles Control

Advanced agent profiles can control Codex process settings such as:
  • sandbox mode;
  • approval level;
  • reasoning effort and summary style;
  • prompt extensions;
  • command overrides and additional command arguments;
  • environment variables for the Codex process.
These settings are intentionally separate from runtime presets. A runtime preset only stores skill and MCP server IDs for workspace execution.

Custom Command Overrides

The normal Codex runtime source is the host Terminal PATH. In that mode, Jaidu launches the same terminal codex command that the selected jaidu-agent host can run. A Custom command override can differ from terminal codex. Use it only when an administrator intentionally wants a profile to launch a different command, such as a pinned wrapper. Keep the override explicit so diagnostics and workspace launches report the same command source.

When To Use This Page

Use Advanced agent profiles only when you need to change host-local Codex process behaviour for administrators or trusted operators. Do not use this page to manage the skills or MCP servers available to a workspace. Use Workspace Runtime Presets for that workflow.

Safety Boundary

Profile changes can alter filesystem access, approval prompts, command execution, and environment variables for Codex launches. Review profile changes carefully before saving them on a shared host.
